Corbett National Park – Overview
The Jim Corbett National Park, christened after the famous hunter turned conservationist, is one of the major attractions that contribute to Uttarakhand’s popularity as a sort after travel destination. Garjiya Devi Temple :
The Garjiya Devi Temple is another alluring feature on the outskirts of Jim Corbett National Park located in the Garjiya village on Dhikala road, near Ramnagar in Uttarakhand state. The temple located on a large rock on the bed of river Kosi, is a sacred Goddess Shakti Shrine where the presiding deity is Garjiya Devi.
Bijrani :
Known to endow plethora of flora and fauna, Bijrani range is one of the densest wildlife populated ranges of the Jim Corbett National Park. Hence, the probability of sighting the beautiful cat species, the tiger, is extremely high during a Bijrani safari. This range is a core, buffer and tourism zone and includes the Forest Rest House for a stay at Bijrani.
Jhirna :
Situated on the Southern periphery of the Jim Corbett National Park, Jhirna zone is known to be blessed with amazing wildlife and hence is the most apt location to witness the astounding tiger. Owing to the densely forested and grassland habitat, Jhirna is also a popular zone for viewing the bird variety. This zone is open throughout the year.
